MODEL 1202 5 INCH ROTARY TABLE
|
No backlash and a 125 pound load
capacity are the key features of this table.
Keyways on the top plate help transmit torque
and allow repeatable mounting of fixtures.
1 1/2 inch hole through the center of the table
NEMA 23 motor mount and Helical beam
coupling standard
Available with your choice of ratios: 20:1, 40:1
and 80:1.
The four mounting holes in the main body are
drilled and counterbored to accept 1/4 inch socket
head cap screws. The same holes are tapped from
the back side to allow bolting from the back using
5/16-24 hardware
The table comes standard with a home switch
which is terminated to a 60 inch pigtail with an
Amphenol 9 pin connector
Provisions for mounting additional switches are
provided.
Transmission options include:
•The timing belt transmission is a available in 1:1, 2:1 , 3:1 or 4:1 as
standard ratios for total reductions from the motor to the output of the
rotator of 90:1, 180:1, 270:1 or 360:1.
•The ends of the worm itself are ground with a tapered hex and the
transmission slides over this hex to provide the drive.
•The transmission can be mounted on either side of the Rotator
•Once mounted on the worm, the transmission can be rotated 360° before
locking it in place
•The motor can be mounted to either side of the transmission
• Available with NEMA 23 or NEMA 34 motor mounts as standard
This is our Academy Award® winning model 1068 Rotator.
We are honored to have been recognized by The Academy of Motion
Picture Arts & Sciences for the fact that these Rotators along with
our motorized linear slide have "become the de-facto standard of
the industry".
The heart of the rotator is a 90:1 aluminum bronze worm wheel and a
hardened steel worm. The gear set is lapped to eliminate all backlash
and is capable of handling up to 225 foot pounds of torque. The
bearings that the worm gear ride in are four point contact bearings that
are preloaded and allow the unit to take up to 1500 pounds of thrust
load and still maintain its rigidity.
Universal mounting features include:
•Helicoiled 5/16-18 threads and reference mounting key way
(1.75" wide) machined into three sides with of the unit.
•Four mounting holes in the face of the unit that have a 1/2"-13
Helicoil thread in the middle and each end of the hole is
countersunk to allow a 3/8" socket head cap screw to pass through
the unit and have the head fit below the surface.
•On one side of the unit the worm wheel protrudes .12" and on the
other side it is recessed .06" to allow the housing or the worm
wheel to be bolted to a mounting surface.
•The worm wheel itself has four ½ inch keyways machined into
each face and eight 10-24 threaded holes on a 5 inch diameter
